Quartzite: Naturally occurring rock

Pros/cons:

• Heat resistant

• Harder than granite

• Need to seal upfront and reseal 1-2 times per year

• Looks like marble, but not as soft or porous

• Harder, but less expensive than marble and granite

How to clean and maintain quartzite:

• Wash with warm soapy water (pH-balanced dish detergent), rinse with clear warm water, dry with soft towel

• Also can use another, non-acidic cleanser 

• Clean up spills immediately 

• Seal upfront and reseal 1-2 times per year
